Voice Feature.
Hear the most frequently used Russian words pronounced by a native Russian speaker.

Dictionary.
The PG-PARS software package is based on the world’s largest English-Russian / Russian-English comprehensive dictionary with over 1,500,000 translations in both parts. A dictionary entry consists of a headword with its translations as well as relevant phrases, comments and examples. For one English or Russian word, several alternatives in the other language may be presented. To select one (for copying into another application), you simply double-click on it.

Reverse translations.
Many users find it useful to examine reverse translations of the translation alternatives before choosing one of them. When in the dictionary entry window, you can select a translation alternative and click on the Show Entry button--this will display the dictionary entry for the selected translation alternative. You can also return to the previously displayed entry by clicking on the Back button.

Search Modes.
One of the main features of PG-PARS's dictionary look-up program is its Smart Search mode. It is based on a morphological analysis of Russian and English words. In this mode, a search is made for a word (or phrase) regardless of the inflectional form in which it appears in the search query. This allows the search to be initiated by simply dragging a word or a phrase from the source text (in another application) onto a special icon in the dictionary window. This mode is especially useful for those who are not native speakers of Russian, and who find it difficult to determine the correct initial form of the word when they are preparing to make a search for it.

If the smart search succeeds, the corresponding entry is displayed in the dictionary window. Otherwise, a simple search is performed, i.e. the text of the search query is placed in the search box and the dictionary index is positioned accordingly.
