• The CD-ROM "Dad's Lessons" is the world's first multimedia educational software program for Ukrainian. Its authors are native Ukrainian speakers-- linguists, software designers, animators, painters and composers. The CD-ROM is supplied by Linguistica '98 Inc., a Canadian company. We do hope it will help you master Ukrainian just sitting at your computer, tapping keys and buttons, reading and listening. 
  
  
• Dad's Lessons is a product for beginners, so all you need to start learning Ukrainian with its help is to have a knowledge of English. It would work just as well for French, Germans or others who know English, even if it isn't their mother tongue. And even if you are an advanced learner, you will find a lot of interesting "advanced" material in Dad's Lessons!
  
  
• The program will be updated every 6 months, and the authors will do their best to take your suggestions into consideration. The upgrades will come to you by E-mail, and there is an easy-to-use updating program which will automatically incorporate the upgrades into the core program. All you need to receive those upgrades with a tremendous discount is to get registered when installing Dad's Lessons on your PC.
  
  
• Although Ukrainian is a complicated language, and learning a language is hard work, the authors have tried to make this process as much fun and as exciting as possible. Keep in mind that Ukrainian differs from English in many ways: it uses the Cyrillic alphabet, and Ukrainian words have endings that correspond to their function within the sentence. This is explained in detail in Dad's Lessons, so please read and listen attentively. And please don't forget to do the exercises!
