Collins Bilingual Talking Dictionary is an electronic version of a well-known Collins bilingual dictionary. The dictionary has over 80,000 words and phrases and more than 120,000 translations, and incorporates digital sound bases for all headwords. Now you can have the highest quality dictionary always at hand for checking the spelling, translation and pronunciation of the word in question. Language learners can practice the language by using computer-based learning exercises - the Shooting Gallery and AudioPad.

Key Features:

The electronic version of the dictionary has the same content as its paper equivalent, but is much easier to use.
All short forms and abbreviations used in the dictionary are explained in full in the pop-up prompts when pointing the cursor on them.
All the headwords in the dictionary are spoken by professional native speakers.
The dictionary is fully cross-referenced, i.e. by clicking on any word in the explanation section you can see the definition of this word and then easily revert to the original section.
It also includes a quick search facility.
The software includes crosswords - the traditional and ever-popular pastime - which are built up automatically, using the dictionary database. The crosswords are built according to levels of difficulty: Learning, Normal and Difficult.
The Dictionary includes various computer-based learning exercises to expand vocabulary and practice spelling and pronunciation.
The AudioPad module is designed to teach correct pronunciation. You can listen to original speech spoken by a professional native speaker and also record and listen to your own speech. This enables you to imitate all the nuances of the pronunciation with the utmost precision.
